I'm Nancy, the creative force behind Nancy Gonzalez Design.

I began my design journey in publishing at an alternative newsweekly in Philly before transitioning to book design in Philadelphia and New York City. My portfolio includes designing children’s books for the American Museum of Natural History, art directing illustrated children’s books, and crafting covers for novels and cookbooks.

After moving to Chicago with my husband and raising two kids, I volunteered my design skills for schools and organizations, building connections with independent businesses and nonprofits. I've cultivated a vibrant home studio, collaborating with clients to enhance their brands.

Outside of work, I'm passionate about fiber art at Flossie Willy, my dedicated studio, and enjoy thrifting and collecting eclectic treasures for inspiration in both my professional and personal pursuits.

I honestly don’t know what I would do without Nancy Gonzalez. I hired Nan in 2014 to design a logo for my business and she has been a tremendous resource to me ever since. Nan helped me research and flush out exactly what the brand identity would be in the pursuit of the logo design. That original research and brand identification is something I have relayed heavily on ever since. Over the years Nan has designed my labels, hang tags, business card, look books, line sheets, posters, mailers, you name it! She works well within a timeline and budget. She is always punctual to return my questions and great at interpreting my obscure suggestions and feedback. Nan has been an invaluable resource to simply bounce ideas off... I think she may actually understand my business better than I do. I would highly recommend Nan to anyone looking to just get clarity on their brand identity or to develop it further through graphic identity.
